Starting in late 2017, we started working on the organization, fundraising, and planning initial programs to get kids outdoors and back to nature. Plan to launch John Muir Boot Camp in Spring of 2018

Our Mission

Our mission is simple.... Making it easy and natural for kids to play outdoors and explore the natural world around them through local community programs.

What We ARE TRYING TO Achieve

  • Getting kids outside
  • Giving parents and kids lots of opportunities to get outdoors and back to nature.
  • Offer environmental and naturalist programs that give kids the knowledge and skills to protect and nurture our world.
  • Create a community of people that want to share and support the outdoor movement 
  • Provide resources and bring organization to get the boots on kids and out exploring the natural world.
  • To work with local local, regional, and national organizations to develop and encourage outdoor activities and environmental stewardship.
  • Provide boots and badges for our John Muir Boot Club cadets.
  • Create a Naturalist Esprit de Corps
